GiftAI ("the App") helps you find thoughtful gift ideas with the help of AI. We care about your privacy. This policy explains what data the App handles, what we do with it, and what we don't. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not require an account.

1. Information You Provide

When you ask for gift ideas, you tell the App:

The recipient's relationship to you (Partner, Parent, etc.)
Their interests (e.g. "Cooking", "Photography")
A budget range (e.g. $50–$150)
The occasion (Birthday, Anniversary, etc.)

This input is sent to our AI provider (see §3) to generate suggestions. It is not stored on our servers and never associated with your identity.

2. On-Device Storage

The following information lives only on your iPhone — never on our servers:

Saved favorites: gifts you tap the heart icon on.
Generation history: a local log of your recent gift sessions (last 5 on Free, unlimited on Pro).
Settings & usage counter: free-tier daily limit (3 / 24 h) is tracked locally.

Deleting the App removes all of this from your device.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services to function:

Google Gemini AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite) — receives your prompt to generate gift ideas. We do not send your name, email, contacts, location, device ID, or any personally identifying information. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Supabase Edge Functions — securely relays our API credentials to authorized app clients. No user data passes through this layer. See Supabase Privacy.
Apple StoreKit — handles optional GiftAI Pro subscriptions. We never see your Apple ID, email, or payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions & Purchases

GiftAI Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple. We do not store payment information. Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

5. Analytics & Diagnostics

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels. The App may surface crash diagnostics via Apple's standard mechanism — you can disable in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

6. Children's Privacy

GiftAI is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

You can:

Delete the App to remove all local data.
Manage your subscription in iOS Settings → Subscriptions.
Contact us to ask about data we hold (see §9).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be noted with a revised effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance.
