We respect your privacy. This policy explains what DogTranslator AI (the “App”) collects, why, and the choices you have. The App is designed to collect as little as possible, and most information stays on your device.
When you tap “Listen,” the App accesses your microphone to analyze sound in real time and estimate barks and mood. This analysis happens on your device. We do not record, store, upload, or transmit your audio. Microphone access is used only while you are actively using the listening feature.
If you choose a photo (e.g. for breed, age, or mood scanning, or your dog’s profile), it is processed to produce a result. Photos are used on-device for the feature you requested and are not sold or used for advertising. We request photo access only when you use a feature that needs it.
Information you enter — your dog’s name, breed, age, size, traits, and photo — is stored on your device to personalize translations. It is optional, and you can edit or remove it at any time in Settings.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive transaction status (for example, active or expired) so we can unlock premium features. We never receive your full payment card details.
If enabled, we may use privacy-respecting, aggregated diagnostics to fix crashes and improve the App. This data does not identify you personally. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for cross-app tracking.
These services have their own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.
Most data lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the App. You can reset your dog profile in Settings at any time. To request information about data associated with you, contact us at the address below.
DogTranslator AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
